Bio

Third Stone is a band that has found its way from the stages of The Chicago Blues Festival (2001 & 2002) to the shores of New York where They Played The Bayou Music Festival (2002), opening for The Neville Brothers, stopping at every small bar and club along the way. Heavily influenced by the blues, and people like BB King, and bands that really Jam like The Allman Brothers Band and The Grateful Dead. In Chicago (2001), the band brought down the house with a rendition of The Allmans, " In Memory of Elizabeth Reed", with the horns leading the way. Add in the vocal stylings of Amy O'shea, and there really isn't a band that rocks this hard, that is so versatile, yet keeps their own personality through out. The bands latest CD, " Roll On Through", is a disc that combines a couple of favorites from our set, and 5 originals written by Dave and Eugene, like "Dark Star", a Rockin' old school blues tune, "Roll On Through", a drivin' song about trains and broken hearts, "Trader Man", a song about excess and manipulation, "11/27 Blues" a Texas blues rocker that celebrates some favorite things that happened on that date, and "Bayou Blues", a raucous old school blues number that may raise the dead if you play it too loud. Their are 9 tracks in all, a solid 40 minutes of music which will leave you with a smile on your face.
