Indie artist B*Star makes a bold statement with his debut mixtape ‘L.I.A.R. (Living In America’s Reality).’ The Bronx, NY bred rapper/singer believes in not only speaking for himself within his music but exploring other perceptions that may differ from his.

As a self-claimed “perceptionist,” he aims to expand the views of others by hopefully presenting situations that they may have not been aware of before. B*star, an artist/songwriter from The Bronx, New York, started rapping at age 12 when he first listened to Jay-Z’s “The Black Album”. Currently, his biggest inspiration musically comes courtesy of Kanye West. B*star considers music to be an art form that expresses what he values in life and the lessons he’s learned. As an artist, he is determined to make sure his music is interpreted as he intends for it to be, and enjoyed as well by his listeners. His songs spawn from his emotions to situations in his life, as well his thoughts on the world around him, making his songs heartfelt and real to a wide variety of people. A major theme in many of his songs is that of the independent thinker and celebrating those who break the mold to pursue their goals and dreams, very much so in the way he strives towards his dreams by constantly working on and sharing his music with others.
