Bio
This is Harold is an indie band based in London, Ontario, Canada and is made up of former Phantom of the Mind front man, Jeremiah MacIntyre.
Following the split of his former group in 2009, Jeremiah went on hiatus from the music scene and took time to re-evaluate his musical career. During this time of reflection, Jeremiah continued to write music and over the next few years he managed to accumulate a considerable backlog of material. Inspired by newfound groups such as Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, The Lumineers and The Avett Brothers, Jeremiah was motivated to record his new material and continue to pursue his love of music.
In the summer of 2012, he entered the recording studio under the pseudonym This is Harold.
Enlisting the help of studio musicians such as drummer Jason Garbutt, bassist Brian Funk and violinist Mary Ashton, This is Harold spent the course of the summer and most of the winter recording his first full-length solo album at Metonic Studios in Glencoe, Ontario.
With influences ranging from John Lennon to The Head and the Heart and The Avett Brothers, This is Harold’s debut album is sure to stir interest and relate to a broad demographic of music listeners and fans alike. The album entitled, Then and Now….. is set for release in March 2013, and is destined to make an impact on the Canadian music scene.
