JM was first introduced to Hip-Hop when his family moved from his hometown of Kingston, Jamaica to the Washington, DC area. His music career began in college when, on a whim, he entered a talent show and won. His first glimpse into life on the other side of the mic sparked an immediate interest; that day, he began writing songs and performing locally.
