THIS SEVERE LIFESTYLE is the collaboration of five musicians with different backgrounds, but a united passion for making well crafted songs. Front-man/songwriter Justin Fuller has been composing the material for this project for over ten years. 13 Year friend and drummer, James Graham has been involved in the co-creation of the songs from their conception. The two have been band-mates in several other bands (Society's Ugly Son/Ugly Tribe Revival/Slug) as well. This makes for a rock solid armature to sculpt the full sound of the band around. Enter Christopher Antalek who met these two gentlemen a long time ago in a barn far far down I-280. Chris created the band "Analog Graveyard" which included James and Justin in the lineup along with Jeremy Mockensturm. Justin and Chris went on to collaborate again in "Phantom Limb Syndrome" with Matt Klein and Jamie Carlin. This finally lead to Justin recruiting Chris on bass for "This Severe Lifestyle." Justin, James and Chris took notice of a guitarist extraordinaire by the name of Isaac P. Snyder gigging around town with several projects including "The Eight Fifteens." Throughout this process, recordings were being made with a local studio called Little Elephant Recording, owned and operated by Rob Courtney and Brian Gross-Bias. This exciting exchange of ideas and sounds brought Rob Courtney of "Miracle Vitamins" on board... keyboard to be precise. This rounded out the sound Justin sought after so long and the band is happily recording and gigging regularly.
