Thomas Jonak

BandRockBlues

East Coast singer-songwriter. Working off both piano and guitar to deliver engaging lyrics, memorable hooks and complex melodies.

Biography

Within the first year of pursuing his music career Thomas has acquired a niche in the northeast independent music scene. Thomas, preferring to stay under the preverbal radar to first and foremost prefect a unique writing style, has used his time to travel the east coast and slowly spread his songs on love and love loss, “reflecting on a truth of beautiful disaster”. With performances spanning from Portland Maine to Charleston South Carolina his music has spread to a supportive and enthusiastic fan base. Now with the introduction of songs from the newly released BLUE EP, December 2005, being aired on commercial radio he has begun to attract more and more fervent supporters of his music.

From his first live show in Dunedin, New Zealand Tom has grown into a larger music medium, experimenting with progressions and modes that challenged, and changed his ideals of rock & folk melody. Far from a mainstream interest in rock music Tom began his music education in classical and jazz study. Finding a unique blend of all his favorite styles during his university years he has now begun touring with a handful of originals that express his unique perspective.
