Bio
Thomas (born March 2, 1981 in Lichtenvoorde, Netherlands) made his name, voice, (and smile) famous in 2009 in the reality singing contest Czech Slovak Superstar. Prior to this Thomas grew up on the border of Germany, meaning he learnt several languages, including dutch, german, english and slovak, from a very young age and performed all across Europe in many musicals, concerts and television shows and series. From 2002 till 2003 he was the lead singer of Pop Dance Project “Silkstar” which was signed to UNIVERSAL Records in the Netherlands. As a model he has become the face of well-known fashion brands including L’Oreal, Avon, Adidas, Jean Paul Gautier and Soladey-Eco.
Since becoming a household name in Czech and Slovak Republic, Thomas has established a huge fanbase in Eastern Europe. His ability to perform in English, Slovak, German and Dutch has given him the opportunity to collaborate with producers, labels, musicians and artists on an international level.
In Thomas’s words, ”I get inspired by all sorts of musical styles and I love to experiment, I am not afraid to try anything new! I want my music to be universal and create an album that is accessible for all ages and all types of people”. Thomas released his debut album “Make Believe” on November 15th 2012 in the Czech and Slovak Republic. He collaborated with Joe Dworniak a global producer of Riverfish Studios in the UK. Joe has worked with stars such as Duran Duran, Paul McCartney and Frankie Goes to Hollywood. Bill Grainer (Grammy award winning producer of Jennifer Hudson) was also part of the album creation as well as Miroslav Vrlik, who remixed the single ‘Moneytree’ which was number 1 for 7 weeks in the Czech Dancechart in 2012. The final tracks were produced in Creative Music House, the biggest and most prestigious recording studios in Slovakia and Czech Republic.
This album, is new and exciting, combining sounds from artists and producers from all across the globe! The highly anticipated debut album is now available in all stores.
