(eMusicWire.Org) – The recording contract, consists of releasing ten singles and a full length album, titled, Bow before the KING. The title cut of the album has already garnered airtime and rotation on northern California's radio station, Eternal Cross radio, and has received great reviews.Negotiations of the deal have been ongoing for the past several months, as Thom had been searching for a Christian rock label, that had a heart for song ministry and a genuine concern for spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. After many conversations about ministry, with Armor's CEO, Todd Moyer, both the label and Thom felt it was a great fit to work with each other. "Todd has a great heart, and a great deal of knowledge about song ministries, and I want to learn all I can from him. I started my music career in the secular hard rock music market, back in the eighties. I became a Christian and I just didn't really have a direction, goal or sense of purpose with my music. Todd helped me to understand, it is about using your talents and ministering to others to lead them to Jesus Christ." says Thom. Thom's songs have fused old-school eighties hard rock with a modern hard rock mix, powerful vocals and strong hooks. "A heavy metal version of ZZ Top" says DJ, ReDman, of Eternal Cross radio.
A born again Christian and hailing from Indianapolis, Thom has been singing in front of audiences since the age of five. With heavy influences from bands such as Stryper, Kings X and White Cross. Being self taught on guitar, bass, and drums, Thom forged his own style of hard hitting rock that stresses to the listener that there is a positive side to this hard and difficult life, "by trusting in Jesus Christ." Thom began songwriting in various hard rock bands in the early 1980's, releasing three albums. His most successful band, Space Cowboys, had nominal success in the Midwest receiving heavy airtime across the U.S. and Canada on Z-Rock. Armor Records CEO, Todd Moyer, has worked with such Christian acts as, White Cross, John Schlitt and Petra, and is also the guitarist for the band, Fair Warning Ministries.
The signing took place on March 13th at The Mustard Seed, a Christian cafe music venue, located in West Jefferson, Ohio. Afterwards Thom performed a few songs with new label mates, Fair Warning, of which he is scheduled to co write and perform on their upcoming release and a Armor Records compilation CD. "It was a very touching moment for me, as my wife was there with me to witness the signing, and she is just as much a part of this ministry as I am." said Thom. Thom's wife Cindy, of Bossy Woman Management, is the manager and agent for bookings, promotion and marketing.
The album is scheduled to be released in July, with worldwide distribution on the web, via all of the major music outlets, as well as Thom's website and Fair Warning ministries websites. Tour dates are being scheduled thru out the United States, with future plans to tour Europe and Japan. Thom began songwriting in various secular hard rock bands in the early 1980's such as: Lost Angels, Storybook Romance, Space Cowboys and Blue Steel. He released One album, two EP's and a single. His most succesful band, "Space Cowboys", had nominal success in the Midwest receiving help from Canada's rock power trio, "Triumph", and heavy airtime across the U.S. and Canada on Z-Rock.
As a solo artist, Thom has recorded and released limited runs of acoustic EP’s, that tell about life and its struggles. He has performed vocal work on various studio projects with other artists. Recorded at studios in Canada and the United States such as, The MetalWorks, TRC Studios, Diehl Production Studios and CAS. Thom has played guitar on commercials for “The Spaghetti Factory” and the “Indianapolis Twisters, as well as engineered albums and singles. Thom is also a registered member of BMI.
Currently, 2010 is proving to be a very eventful time for Thom, as he has signed with Armor Records to record 10 singles, a full length album, and co-write and sing on a song with Armor Records lable mates Fair Warning. Bow before the KING, is the title cut of the album, and has already begun to get airtime to great reviews.
