"Thoroughfare appearance with Uncle Kracker"

August 28, 2006 — Farragut based band Thoroughfare is slated to perform at the 2006 Tennessee Valley Fair. They will be opening for Uncle Kracker, Saturday, September 9th at 6:00 p.m. in the Homer Hamilton Theatre.

Thoroughfare formed in 2004, when Colin Cunningham, Jordan Beach and Thomas Boyd came together to put together what is now Thoroughfare. They soon enlisted Robby Bratta, and began to create the sounds for their debut CD, “Portrait of a Daydream.”

Thoroughfare has just returned from recording new material during a month long trip to Philidelphia with grammy nominated producer David Ivory. Although drummer and backup vocalist Colin Cunningham says these news songs have a different sound and feel to them, he feels confident that the loyal fans of Thoroughfare will appreciate their new sound as a step in their lives as musicians. And, the first place to hear these brand new songs will be at the Tennessee Valley Fair, September 9th! CDs and merchandise will also be available for purchase at their show.

Tickets are still available for this show, so come out and support these local artists! Call 865-215-1482 or see the website at www.tnvalleyfair.org to purchase your Thoroughfare and Uncle Kracker tickets, as well as admission tickets and ride bands!
