Those Damn Kookies

Those Damn Kookies

BandRock

TDK is a rock band who plays with sound and image both at the same time. The music provided by Gypsy, Doum and Gee Is sort of shown on screen by Annick, making the experience of seeing the band somewhat unique.

Biography

The band started when Gypsy started writing.

Gee was already with him on another project and little by little, one jam after the other, a band was born.

Doum joined in very soon afterwords and so did Annick, thus TDK as we know it today.

We played a lot of small clubs the first two years, but espacially the first year where we had a weekly gig in a small club in Montreal.

Also, we got a bit out of town playing some shows in Toronto.

At that point, about a year and a half in our existence, we lost our keybordist, who went on with other projects. It was a sad day, but it forced us to reconfigure everything.

So then we started playing with the three guys singing, wich we never had done before, the keys were replaced by voices and I dare say experience in playing together, a new groove was born. The kookies groove.

Lyrics

Holiday

Written By: Gypsy

I think I've just seen a spark
It came from your head
From now on it's a holiday
Han han ooh ooh
Let's call it a day
From now on it's a holiday

We're not leaving we're going home!

Shake, shake and make some noise
Give sweat to the dance floor
Shake, shake and keep on moving
At least to stay alive

Maybe we just blown a fuse
Or get a bit confused
From now on it's a holiday
Han han ooh ooh
Let's call it a day
From now on it's a holiday

We're not leaving we're going home!

Shine, shine all day all night
Before the lights go out
Shake, shake and make some noise
Give it all to the dance floor

Let's call it a day
From now on it's a holiday
Let's call it a day
From now on it's a holiday

Set List

We play a 10-11 songs set witch lasts about half an hour. We rarely do covers, but if we did some, it would be either an old Beatle song, or a Rolling Stones, Kings Of Leon, etc.
