THOSE PEABODYS

THOSE PEABODYS

BandRockPunk

Yeah, I saw this band Those Peabodys last night and I tell you they brought the house down hard like it was nobody's business. It was like this power trio working a heavy assault of tight, boogie-math full of catchy riffs and sing alongs. It was fine.

Biography

Pillars of the Austin, Texas rock community,
Those Peabodys continue to put their brand of riff-heavy, boogie down pop on
display throughout this nation. Last seen lurking outside of their home
state at the 2004 All Tomorrow's Parties festival in Long Beach,
California alongside Peaches, Modest Mouse, and The Flaming Lips, Those Peabodys
have stripped themselves down to a lean, mean, no-nonsense power trio. Core
members Adam Hatley and Clarke Wilson, with newest addition drummer Mike
Fonseca, got it "goin' on" like never before, bringing one of the most
bombastic and tight live shows around, generally spreading sweat and joy to all
witnesses. Those Peabodys, alive since the close of 1998, have two albums out,
their self titled debut on native Austin label Post Parlo Records, and their
sophmore release "Unite Tonight" out on now dormant Tiger Style Records out
of New York City. These fellas are to hit the eastern US for the first time
in two years before returning to Austin to churn out their next
full-length effort with the prolific Mr. Tim Kerr. Look for an early 2006
release and don't let this summer end until you've encountered Those Peabodys
tearing the club up in your town.

Set List

Those Peabodys typically like to get in, do their thing, and be gone before you even know what hit you. They have enough original material to play for 2 or 3 hours, but never take that much of anyone's time. Those Peabodys have been known to perform a cover song here and there.
