The band started when Scott Rock, an aspiring singer/guitarist met Sean Douglas, an aspiring rapper, through internet music ads and found they had a common interest in combining rock and hip-hop in different melodic ways. Through crazy times, trials, and tribulations the two set out to write about things they experienced and felt. Over time Thought Crime has formed a diverse band and along with their DJ have an intense live show that must be seen to be heard. Their mission is to combine real moods and emotions with their favorite kinds of music... rock, hip-hop, metal, ballads, poetry all come together as one. The ups and downs of life, realizing there's nothing that can hold you back from achieving anything, alienation, turning bad scenarios into uplifting ones, hope and despair- these are the images and visions that come to mind when listening to their music.
The debut EP was released in summer '08 as a CD and on i-tunes, and has garnered positive reviews across the net as well as helped generate a sizeable following. Thought Crime is based in Los Angeles and actively booking live regional and college shows.
