Thousand Watt Halo

Thousand Watt Halo

BandRockAlternative

What makes Thousand Watt Halo any different than every other rock-n-roll blowhard? Genuine; Accessible; Human. While everyone else is going beyond the bounds of reason to be noticed - this band stays true to themselves. They love to play music and are willing to bare their souls to the listener.

Biography

Thousand Watt Halo’s guitar laden brand of rock-n-roll is melodic, modern and memorable. The band creates a unique sonic blend of heavy guitar riffs, moving bass lines; and creative back beats, all textured with a hint of post-industrial pop. Add to this Wilson’s intense outpouring of emotion with a vocal style reminiscent of Scott Weiland and Ed Kowalczyk (Live). The result is a contemporary Soundgarden-esque feel, delivered à la Alice In Chains.

But don’t try to categorize this band too quickly. Unlike others in their genre, they do not shy away from the lighter side. From the bluesy feel of “No Reason” to the AC/DC (Bon Scott era) tongue-in-cheek groove of “We Can Roll” this trio will hold your attention for as long as you will let them play.

In a relatively short time Thousand Watt Halo has gone from a seedling ideology in the minds of a few passionate songwriters to a curiosity for all to see. Check out Thousand Watt Halo – It’s good for the soul!

Lyrics

Watershed

Written By: Thomas Jackie Wilson

Face down in the watershed
Think about every word you said
Pouring down over me like rain…
Face down in the watershed
Think about every word you said
This is where it all comes down…

Don’t look at me this way
I couldn’t help this; I couldn't stop the rain
I’m not the only one to treat you this way

With your ear to the ground
I’m not the only face in the crowd
You’re not the only one to beat me…

Chorus:
Face down in the watershed
Think about every word you said
Pouring down over me like rain
This is where it all comes down |:

This is not the end
We're waiting for the tide to take us out again
Did you know that the deepest, darkest part of me breaths you

Well, I’ve heard it all before
Don't give up on me, this is worth fighting for
I'm not the one, I’m not the one, I will not be the one to be left…

Chorus

Down to the line
That separates you and I
We love and lie
So far behind
was that moment in time when
You and I became one

Don’t look at me this way
I couldn’t help this; I could stop the rain
I’m not the only one to treat you this way

Chorus

No Reason

Written By: Thomas Jackie Wilson

Got no woman to keep me at home
Got no love divine, guess I'm all alone
Got no car to drive, but that's okay
I got no reason; no reason to stay

If I leave today won't nobody know
If I leave today I can take it slow
If I cross that river I'll be ahead of the game
I got no reason, no, no reason to stay

There are times I misunderstood
guess all those good times well they weren't all that good
Now some people may think I'm a fool
but I ain't got nothin' (no) if I ain't got you

I've got a place in mind out by the sea
There's a place in my mind that I'd rather be
But if I can't have you with me, what more can I say
I got no reason; no reason to stay

There are times I misunderstood
guess all those good times well they weren't all that good
Now some people may think I'm a fool
but I ain't got nothin' if I ain't got you
Now some people may think I'm a fool
but I ain't got nothin' if I ain't got you

Got no woman to keep me at home
Got no love divine, guess I'm all alone
Got no car to drive, but that's okay
I got no reason; no reason to stay

Go Away

Written By: Thomas Jackie Wilson

There's nothing I could say
you won't take the wrong way
that would make you want to stay

There's nothing I haven't done
I've bitten off my tongue
to make you feel like you're the one

Chorus:
Did I give you everything I am?
If you don't want it, give it back to me
I can hear your voice offering a choice
It's your way, or go away

So what if you were wrong
And I wrote it in this song?
What if I was stronger than you knew?

While other lovers jade
And all their colors fade
I’ll be waiting right here for you.

Chorus

There's nothing I could say
you won't take the wrong way
that would make you want to stay

Chorus
