Bio

Music can express the human condition like no other media can. It connects us. 3MFH writes songs accessible to the everyday people that make the world go around: from the working class beer drinkers to Sunday morning church goers. The guys believe 3 things are true:

Life is an epic.

We, as people, are all desperate.

Life is full of shadows and sorrow, so we need the promise of sunshine.

That's what the songs communicate. When Luke and Zach Dowler first met Isaac Johnston, little did they know what the future would hold. Friends became musicians, musicians became family. 3MFH became about being real. Unafraid to expose their faults and mistakes in their lyrics, they write raw rock and roll songs that connects the everyman to a place of hope. The name was birthed from a casual conversation on the way home from a backwoods labor job – rock picking. “The American Dream” is basically summed up in one word – safety. The band decided that the name Three Minutes From Home captured that sense of safety that we are all working towards.

In 4 years, Three Minutes From Home has traveled to 2 continents and over 4 different nations and played as many as 400 shows. They have played packed out arenas crammed with as many as 9,000 people as well as intimate clubs with as few as 50. Regardless of the crowd size, Three Minutes From Home’s goal is to connect and leave every ounce of energy and sweat on the stage. 3MFH has shared the stage with such artists as Petra, Bleach, DownHere, Sanctus Real, Mainstay, The Afters, The Monroe, Maverick recording artists Stutterfly and traveled internationally with Impact World Tour. The band has played such festivals as Hideout, Creation Fest and Festival Con Dios. Also, in 2004 3MFH flew to Nashville for a label showcase. The band signed a development deal with Provident/Essential Records (Third Day, Jars Of Clay). The deal never quite materialized and the band set off to do what they've always done: write rock songs that don't bow to current music trends and tour wherever.
