Through the Ashes

Despite the state of todays music world, California-bred thrashers Through the Ashes dig deep within the surface to inspire their fans and themselves with their aggresive, yet, melodic style of metal music. Standing out in a sea of metal bands, Through the Ashes has the ability to grab ahold of you, throw you against
the wall, pick you up, and nurture you back to health. Whether it be the passio...n filled vocals of Cal Firefighter Brian Nation, or, Roger Jones's fit of rage behind the drum kit, these guys definetly know how to hit a nerve in each and every one of their fans.
The bands debut release "uNmask the eNemy", is an explosive release for such a young band, Portraying a mixture of Thrash metal, Alternative vibes, and ambient undertones, it's really unlike anything you've ever heard before. With songs such as the titled "uNmask the eNemy", Nations lyrics tell the story of a womans desparate cry for attention, telling her current love interest of past abuse by her father, triggering him to murder the father, only to reveal it was all just a lie. The song describes the dillusional guilt and anger the man faces after his attempt to heal her pain. "To me, this demo represents our name, Through the Ashes" says lead guitarist Steven Samora."The Ashes represent the past." he comments,"you have to know where you've been to know where your going, sometimes you have to go back and dig around... revisit certain parts of your brain you seal off over time to draw inspiration and strength to move foward in life." Unmask the Enemy was recorded in Discovery Bay with studio engineer E. Hill in the Summer of 2010. All music was produced and writtin by Through the Ashes. Their single "Infected" can be downloaded through iTunes, Zune, Emusic, and Amazon.
Through the Ashes has had several accomplishments over the past 2 years, such as taking home the 2010 MAMA award for best hardrock band in the central valley of California, placed 3rd out of 40 bands in a battle of the bands held by Big Time Records, Headlined, booked, and promoted their EP release show drawing over 300+ people, setting The bar tab record for the early night at The Fatcat Music House and Lounge raising $3,800.00, and placed 2nd in Guerilla Musics Battle of the Bands at the DNA lounge in San Francisco. "These guys are ready for arenas" suggests producer and Systematic guitarist Adam Rupell, "Their live show is explosive, I definetly see a bright future for these guys and wish them the best of luck."
On July 17th, 2011, Through the Ashes made the decision to sign with iLA through Damon Moreno, "We have full confidence in the iLA and what they can do for our band, Damon has been promt and thorough every step of the way so far and we are happy to have him apart of the team." As of August, 2011, Through the Ashes has a full roster of California gigs, sharing the stage with bands such as Dead Kennedeys, Y & T, Skinlab, Aghori, and Panic at the Disco. " We love what we do, and do what we love. Music is a huge part of all of our lives and we just want to see how far we can go with it. Sometimes you just have to go as far as you can to see what your truely capable of."
