Bio

THUGZ NATION

The rap group turned legends in Atlanta, GA and in Down South rap culture returns with a musical assault. Featuring the well known voices of Torrence “Turbo” Walker and Michael “NoDoz” Vinson, together they are known as THUGzNATON. Most people remember them from their first smash hit single, remixed by well known “Hotlanta” producer Carl Mo, entitled “THUG LYFE”, which came from their debut album Fresh Off the Mother Ship.

That album went on to sell over 60,000 units independently, with approximately 50% of these sales reporting on SoundScan (approx. 30,000+ units). These sales were from various cities throughout the Unites States. In the process, the group created a loyal fan base and buzz while garnering the attention of many program directors and retail buyers throughout the country. The sophomore project comes with a new, yet familiar sound, spit-fire lyrics, and top-rated production. Coupled with new management and a new marketing team, ThugzNation a.k.a. The Horseshoe Boyz are poised to bring about considerable success. The preliminary feedback has been excellent. Many club/radio DJ’s, store buyers, and the general public/fans have expressed an eager anticipation for the group’s sophomore effort.

The new album, Come Ryde With Us, displays the new vision and sound of Turbo & NoDoz. Preparation is being made to officially release the singles
“If I Die” and “Dead Man Walking” in Atlanta and secondary Southeast markets. They have been hitting the local/regional venue scene with a blazing stage performance. Their shows have allowed them to receive major exposure by opening up shows for Mystikal, Cash Money Millionaires, Fat Joe, and KRS-1. They’ve also performed on MTV’s “The Grind” and were special invited guests on the Anger Management Tour with DMX, Limp Biskit, and Blink 182. These experienced and talented performers have been praised by both critics and their peers for their energy and originality on stage.

Although there is a time gap since their last official release, the group has remained relevant through performances, album features, mix-cd features, and club/radio mix-show play. Also, other artists such as Twista have had similar gaps and still returned to the scene with excellent results. THUGzNATION has maintained their street presence and credibility by way of consistent activity and tremendous work ethic. This group is capable of rising to the meteoric heights of previous duos like UGK, Outkast, and 8 Ball & MJG. “Come Ryde with Us!!!”
