Thumbnail Sketch comes out of the vibrant Jacksonville indie scene combining the best of '60s garage-adelia, early '70s pop powerness, and '90s indie-genuity. Multi-instrumentalist Brad Stripling mixes blends of twangy guitars with bits of piano, organs, bouncy and melodic bass, and sweet harmonies to create pop/rock songcraft that seems both familiar and fresh.
To bring the sounds to life, Thumbnail Sketch relies on Jay Brasfield to provide the bellowing undercurrent with his deft bass work, Stuart Bartlett to provide the backbeat, and Mark Walker Jr. to sprinkle the confections with organs, pianos, and a dash of rhythm guitar.
In 2010, the group self-released the Thumbnail Sketch EP through their website (http://thumbnailsketch.net) and continue to provide ear canal massages for listeners everywhere.
