"Thunderbird Motel"

"Everyone is trying to be garage in Seattle, but Thunderbird Motel is actually doing it. It's pure pre-digital unadulterated rock, and I can't help but love it."
Josh Lovseth - Sound on the Sound - Sound On The Sound

"Thunderbird Motel"

"...experimenting with bluesy, Black Keys-inspired guitar solos, and an edgier, lo-fi sound that leans more toward Sonics-era garage rock"
Katie Sauro - the Wig Fits All Heads - The Wig Fits All Heads

"Thunderbird Motel Show Preview by Jeff Kirby"

"Oh, if the walls of the Thunderbird Motel on Aurora Avenue could talk. Think of the incredible stories of hookers and cocaine it could tell, the tales of unmatched bravado and human frailty. It would be sacrilege then if a band decided to use the name of Seattle's landmark adultery shanty for anything other than pure, unadulterated rock and roll. Luckily, the band Thunderbird Motel are everything you could hope from a musical incarnation of such a gritty, damnable place. They play straight-up, no-bullshit rock and roll with just the right amount of blues—the perfect soundtrack to the best night of your life, before you wake up and realize you've just ruined everything."
JEFF KIRBY - The Stranger - The Stranger

Bio

Since the formation in fall of 2006 Thunderbird Motel has rocked just about every venue in the city of Seattle. Drawing influences from bands such as The Who, Free, AC/DC, The Black Keys, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd and the White Stripes, the band brings raw rock songs such as Black Eye, Evil Heart, and the most recent fan favorite Sleeping With The Angels(SWTA). The song SWTA is based off a drunk phone call from guitar member Mike to bassist Brian late night after a show one night and the last line of the conversation was "i love you brother, i hope you're sleeping with the angels, i know I am."

Thunderbird Motel love just getting together to play music whether it's playing a local show, just jamming in the basement or on the road. Right now they are booking their first ever West Coast tour for the month of May 2008.
