The best kept secret in music

"Spinning Platters Review"

“Clean cut and deceptively mature, A.J. Schraeder showed exceptional stamina and satirical prowess, playing politely with unspoken tension and comical hypocrisies.” -

"SF Sketchfest Review"

"The Being John Malkovitch-esque journey into Schraeder's mind (puppets live in there) was ridiculously hilarious" - RHUM.ORG

"Columbus Brew Ha Ha Review"

"All were quite entertaining, with A.J. Schraeder (Thunderstood’s only member) stealing the show and receiving the only standing ovation of the entire three day festival." -

Still working on that hot first release.

AJ Schraeder became a regular in the dive bar that is comedy in 2003 by joining the award winning improv troupe “The Idiot Box”. Ever since he’s been blasting AC\DC on comedy’s outdated juke box, drawing hilarious phallic shaped graffiti on comedy’s bathroom walls, pushing lame dive bar analogies, and putting a ton of quarters in comedy’s golden tee arcade machine. His one man show "Thunderstood" has been performed at comedy festivals across the country including the San Francisco Sketchfest, the Chicago Sketchfest, and the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival. In 2010 he won Greensboro's largest comedy competition "The Ultimate Comic Challenge" and in 2012 he was awarded the title of best sketch group at the Shadowbox Live's 4th annual international sketch competition with a set that SNL original cast member Garrett Morris described as "brilliant".
