Thy Neighbors

Congratulations to Thy Neighbors on the release of their debut track “Black N’ Mild.” It’s a rocking and nostalgic sounding track by the young band. The group is comprised of Chicagoans Charlie Sullivan on rhythm guitar and vocals, Ethos on vocals, bassist Ramon Bonifacio, drummer Dante Valenzuela and Wiemahn Crosby on lead guitar. I recently interviewed Ethos and when I asked if he’d describe the music of Thy Neighbors he said “It is ethereal, wartime, jazz, punk, hip hop for the soul.” I can hear it. They are currently working on an EP called Part One. Keep your eyes on Thy Neighbors, they have a lot of promise and I’m excited to watch the band flourish. - 1833

Chicago has no shortage of hip-hop artists and electronic producers, so sometimes we forget about all of the garage bands and punk rockers that make the city the diverse music hub that it is. Thy Neighbors is one budding rock band that’s just begging to capture your attention. They’ve just released their first single titled “Black N’ Mild,” and from its relatable lyrics and catchy guitar loops, it’s hard to overlook.
