Bio

Tiara Purifoy may very well be one of America’s “best hidden talents”, with her gentle but powerful voice.
Born to Ronnie and Ann Purifoy in Beloit, WI, Tiara’s phenomenal voice was first recognized when she was only five years old. She showed lots of confidence as she performed in her school musicals and the church choir. During her early teens, Tiara became very active in her community, singing lead in various musicals, community choirs, and gospel ensembles. In her sophomore year at Beloit Memorial High School, Tiara competed in the state’s vocal competition, taking first place in both the solo and duet categories. She has even had the honor of singing at Carnegie Hall in 1996.
Tiara was crowned Miss Beloit at the age of 17. She went on to compete in the Miss Wisconsin Pageant where she won the talent competition with her rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”. Tiara captivated the audience with her commanding presence. In 2004, Tiara’s dreams became a reality when she placed in the top 20 on “American Idol” television show. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for her to showcase her talent on live television with over 10 million viewers watching. Since her performance on American Idol, Tiara has been very busy with both speaking and singing engagements. These include singing the National Anthem for the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and Milwaukee Bucks, just to name a few. Her rendition of the Anthem is so moving, that fans always insist on encore performances. Due to this exposure Tiara has had the fortunate pleasure to sing back up for professional world- renowned artists such as Angie Stone.
Tiara has received numerous awards and accolades for her commitment to giving back to her community and encouraging youth through her God given gift. Resolutions passed on her behalf include The City of Beloit, WI declaring Saturday, March 20th as officially “Tiara Purifoy Day”.
“I know that God has given me a great gift and love of music and I intend to follow God’s direction and reach out to the world through song.”
