Tied to Machines

BandRockPunk

Fast. Heavy. Punk. Rock. 30 seconds is a long time. Like half a song.

Biography

Tied To Machines; A Banbridge band formed from the remnants of maniacal, repetitive practice and a shared loathing for the classic rock scene they were forced to endure; Edd Henry, Connor Gribbon, Josh and Jordan Davies came together to escape the monotonous boredom of their hometown. They initially played punk covers however they quickly incorporated more complex original material into their sets. Since then the band have been gigging steadily throughout the North, to positive reviews.
As the band have gained more experience their sound has evolved and the band have been likened to acts such as The Bronx, Refused and Nirvana. Their first E.P garnered positive reviews from unlikely sources including GigApe, HotPress and ihouseu. The relative success of the record has seen the band headline shows across the North and support Punk Rock veterans the UK Subs.
They recently finished work on their second record “Carla”, again, with Rocky O’Reilly (Oppenheimer) in Start Together Studios, Belfast. Since its Irish release the record has received regular national radio play, seen the band play to an increasing audience and garnered attention from UK and European Record Labels. On BBC Radio 1 Introducing, track Balotelli was named “Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record in Another World”.
Influences: Refused, At The Drive In, The Bronx, The Ghost of A Thousand, ASIWYFA, Biffy Clyro, FUGAZI, Nirvana.
