Tied Down is a mixed-gender 4-piece raw hardcore band formed in the winter of 2009 with the concepts of feminist ideology and guitar feedback in mind. They have been playing shows since February 2010, and that year, released a demo in May, was featured in Maximum Rock 'n Roll's New Band Spotlight in June, was interviewed for The Scope's New Music issue in August, and then were nominated for the Atlantis Music Prize that winter. In 2011, they recorded a new cassette EP, and in August, will release it on a 13-date Eastern Canada spanning Newfoundland through Ontario.
