I am from Chicago, IL. Influenced by the likes of Basement Jaxx and Daft Punk to conventionally instrumental artists like Sonic Youth and The Pixies. Basically the desire that drives me is the urge to create something organic. I have no real desire to duplicate something that already exists in countless forms, I only want to try, as best I can, to be continually innovating and continually questing towards making something truly unique and truly original. My current focus lies in my tinkering with one of dance and electronic music's most untouchable conventions; the 4/4 time signature. In a sub genre I call time warp, I have been taking sonic conventions and stylistic conventions from the likes of house music, techno, and EDM and infusing them with rather abnormal time signatures. The end result is a uniquely glitchy perversion of dance music conventions. Though not entirely groundbreaking, what I am doing with this sub genre is an example of the types of creativity I hope to perpetuate.
