"TRIPLE TRHEAT: JC, VICE MAGAZINE, AND TIF B"

We're super excited because one of our favorite reads, VICE MAGAZINE is running an ad for our GIRLS WE HATED IN HIGH SCHOOL summer handbags in their current issue. We were lucky enough to steal up-and-coming music superstar TIF B away from her crazy schedule for a quick photo-shoot featuring some of our hottest summer GWHIHS styles. Watch out for that full look-book to drop soon. In the meantime, pick up your free copy of VICE, or visit their amazing website (featuring a DOs and DON’Ts archive that will keep you lolling for days) HERE. Also, do not miss the release party for Tif B’s first EP Big Bang at COCO 66 in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood on Monday, June 27th! For more info – and a preview of the EP – visit her official website HERE. - Jeffrey Campbell Shoes

Bio

In her first solo effort, Tif B's Big Bang (EP) is a story of awakenings and serendipity.

After various stints in the film/television and fashion industries, the Brooklyn, NY native with Trinidadian roots had a chance meeting with Justyn Pilbrow of Elemeno P, a rock band based out of New Zealand, where she realized that she needed to get out of the karaoke bar and into the studio.

Under the production of Pilbrow, Big Bang is a collision of Euro-Electronic with a R&B sensibility. Tif B's vocal style is an amalgamation of Pop, R&B and Disco. She credits Donna Summer, Alicia Myers, The Eurythimics, Loleatta Holloway, Chaka Khan & Rufus, Boney M, Giorgio Moroder and 90s R&B party jams as some of her musical influences. Her first single, Marching Orders, is an up-tempo empowerment tune, affirming notions of independence and strength.

Big Bang straddles the line of pop music and anomalous panache. Tif B is sonically impacted by the same sources as her musical contenders, but she inherently has a flair for creating her own infectious sound.
