"Tiffney Stroh wins Victorian Champion of Champions"

South Australian Tiffney Stroh traveled once again to bring home the major award at the Victorian Champion of Champions held on the first weekend of the Mildura Country Music Festival. Entering the ‘Top of the State’ talent Quest held at the Da Vinci Club and receiving places in all sections entered, gave Tiffney the opportunity to compete for the Championship. Amidst a field of highly competitive senior entrants and winning is a fitting end to amateur competition for Tiffney. Congratulations to fellow South Australian, Nathaniel O’Brien of Burra for receiving the Junior title.

A spokesperson for Tiffney said she really wanted to end this part of her journey on a high and winning the Vic Championship is fantastic. Tiffney is hoping to be able to use this win as Victorian Champion to encourage other young performers and sponsors across the states to keep these talent quests alive. They are in the main the only way these young, up and coming artists can learn and gain the exposure to help them on their way.

Tiffney has now set her sights on the transition into the professional arena with the release of her single’ You’re The One to Blame’ later this year which will be the first release from her upcoming album due for release mid 2009.

Completing her year 11 & 12 studies this year has been a high priority for Tiffney as well as working with her band “ GoldRush’. Along the way she has partnered with fellow South Aussie Josh Verco to form ‘AcousticRush’. This dynamic duo have received great reviews from every performance and are set to make their mark on country music over the coming months. ‘AcousticRush’ will be performing as part of the Telstra Road to Tamworth Melrose heat on Sat 18th Oct.

‘I would like to take this opportunity and thank in particular John Arnold & Joy Lawrie for a wonderfully well run weekend. To the other contestants, a big thank you for the support you showed me, it just goes to show that the country music genre is one big family!”
