Philadelphia, PA – Jack and Jill Organization is providing a fun filled family event with a performance from Tiflon Friday, February 25, 2005 at the Marriott West, located at 111 Crawford Avenue Conshohocken, PA. The event begins at 8 pm.

Tiflon, one of Philly’s finest rap artists will be showcasing her skills. She will take part in a mini-concert designed to give teen members of the Jack and Jill organization a chance to see a top notch act first hand. She will also serve as a panel member for a critiquing session that will take place in order to crown the first Jack and Jill teen Roc the Mic Champion.

The Jack and Jill organization holds events such as this one once a year. “I am happy to be a part of such an event. When I was approached by Ken Mansfield of Sultry entertainment with this opportunity I could not turn it down. Whatever I can do to help others in pursuing their dreams, I am all for it,” explains Tiflon.

Tiflon has performed in numerous venues and open-mics throughout the East Coast. She herself has been crowned the Roc-the-Mic Champion of 103.9 The Beat for her freestyle prowess. Besides being a writer and producer, she is also a host for an Open Mic Night. She has been featured in Spotlite Magazine and has a Promo playing on 103.9 for DJ JDS. In addition to working vigorously to finish her first solo project Tiflon is also working on a business venture she says will benefit the community.

The price of admission is $12. All benefits from the concert will go to a social organization such as Jack and Jill that promotes ethics for children.

Feeling a bit camera shy

Star Studded. Profound. Lyrically equipped to hush the non-believers and get you back on your job if you were slipping.

This South Philly native who now resides in Chester, PA is a MC at heart and a well round female who makes it nearly impossible to forget her. She was coined the female version of Teflon by fellow companions hailing from North Philly. Initial mention of the name Tiflon may lead you into thinking she is a hardcore rap act but reality is quite the contrary. The name simply reflects her take no shorts attitude, agility and non-stick nature.

Tiflon has loved music ever since she can remember. “My parents had a lot of rap, R&B and jazz records. Some of my early favorites growing up were Teena Marie, Anita Baker, Luther, New Edition, LL, Salt-N-Pepa, Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh. When those records came on we were partying and having a good time or just sitting back listening to how great they sounded.” Rap became a new and exciting nitch for her that stemmed from writing. Putting words to music was an outlet to release her emotions and remains her most effective form of expression. She began writing more and more and even started composing songs for her friends to recite. Tiflon then went from battling cats on the school bus to performing in ciphers and talent shows. She has been crowned 103.9’s Roc-The-Mic Champ, Power 99’s Dream Team Idol and gracefully took third in the Essence of Philly Contest (Coca-Cola/Hidden Beach/103.9). She is recognized and respected for her craft.

She is currently in the studio recording her album set for a release date of February 2005. “The album is about changes and new beginnings. I’m taking all that I have experienced and learned up to now and putting it out there. My production is crazy and I am at the top of my game lyrically.” When Tiflon is not in the studio she is displaying her impeccable stage presence in numerous venues throughout the East Coast. Besides being a MC, writer, and producer she also is an Open Mic Host at Club 121. She wears a lot of hats and they all come fitted to her measurements. If that was not a hand full, Tiflon is also in the process of a new business venture she says will benefit the community, especially the Hip Hop one.

Be prepared for this female MC to school you on how she does it. Her freestyle capabilities, fresh look, and new sound as well as her stage presence and lyrical content alone will leave you wanting more. L.L. has referred to her as a female Snoop. Notable producers and fans have compared her to EVE. She believes she brings a whole new direction to the game serving as a link between the past and present state of Hip-Hop. She has a lot to say, and with her first forthcoming album she airs it out.
