New British singing sensation, Tiger Lilly, has announced a special gig in support of Teen Boundaries UK on 5 December.
Tiger Lilly is a patron of the organisation, which aims to teach young people about the cost of sexual bullying, including homophobic discrimination, by visiting secondary schools and youth groups.
The Slough-based singer is number one in the unsigned artists chart, and she is heavily involved in charity work, having previously worked with Help For Heroes, National Autism, Cancer Research, MENCAP, and Time To Change.
She says about the upcoming show: “It’s been an amazing year for both the charity and myself as an artist. We have grown and raised our profiles hand in hand so we’re really excited about the event. It’s a celebration of the work that we have done throughout 2009 and a way of saying a massive thank you to everyone who has supported us. “
A percentage of ticket sales will go towards helping finance the work that the charity does. There will also be a celebrity raffle with gift bags worth over £100 and a night of entertainment.
Among the celebrities appearing will be Caroline Feraday, Siavash from Big Brother and Lizzie Cundy, the actress, presenter and fashion guru.
Next week a DVD called Detoxercise will be released in HMVfeaturing Tiger Lilly, with proceeds going to the charity. So to see the girl who is known as: ‘pop rock with a twist of lemon' head down to the Mayfair Club on Dover Street at 9pm.
