Biography

"Powerful grace, sultry sweetness and a haunting voice of the most welcome kind. I hired Tiger Zane to play in our ‘Music on the Streets’ program and would do it again without hesitation. Her music and voice were so riveting and filled with spirit that I can still hear those sounds every time I pass by the performance space. I immediately purchased her CD ‘no matter what’ and found I literally couldn’t remove it from my CD player for weeks. Tiger Zane’s style and vocal artistry is on par with the most well known female singers of our time.”

Demure and velvety, sultry and sensuous, confidence and earthiness...these are words critics use to describe Tiger Zane. Tiger’s music is both powerful and melodic— high energy and heart felt.

Tiger Zane is a Seattle based singer and songwriter who has been compared to Sheryl Crow, Joni Mitchell, and The Cowboy Junkies.
Her songs are a soulful hybrid of folk rock and pop with occasional winks at country and jazz . Tiger’s music has been influenced by extensive travel in Europe. She spent time living in France and her newest demo includes her first recording in French.

Her full length CD, “no matter what”, is upbeat and sexy. It explores love, life and the quest for creativity and beauty. Tiger’s band includes dynamic drummer Michael Alex (Hart & The Hurricane), bassist and film composer Jeff Tolbert and recent addition James Howard on electric guitar. Their live act is captivating and fun; they perform originals sprinkled with a variety of covers.

Lyrics

Clover

Written By: Tiger Zane

this time babe its over
nothin' gonna be the same
ain't no song been written yet
tell me how to lose your name

I thought I had me a field of clover
but this time baby its over

I made my bed this morning
pulled the sheets up tight
I looked out of my bedoom window
and I finally saw the light

I thought I had me a field of clover
but this time baby its over

Yay...
Yay...
Yay...

this time babe its over
the train is leavin' town
I hear the whistle blowing wild
and the screaming of the crowd

I thought I had me a field of clover
but this time baby its over
I thought I had me a field of clover
but this time baby its over
I thought we had us a field of clover
but this time baby its o-ver!

every love song

Written By: Tiger Zane

still feel the touch of your hand in the street
and the taste of chocolate so sweet
as we kissed in the dark of a windy spring night...
a garden of rain filled delight

every moment like deep purple grapes on the vine
fermenting my heart into wine
and I drink from the nectar until I am drunk
on the hope that you might be mine

seems like these days every love song I write
I write it for you
oh and it seems like these days every song that I sing
I sing it to you baby

I still feel the softness that shines
in your brown eyes so deep when you smile
and I still feel the warmth in my sheets where you lay
holding me close for awhile

seems like these days every love song I write
I write it for you
oh and it seems like these days every song that I sing
I sing it to you baby

I still feel the touch of your hand in the street
and the taste of chocolate so sweet

Chanson de Prevert

Written By: Serge Gainsbourg

Oh je voudrais tant que tu te souviennes
Cette chanson etait la tienne
C'etait ta preferee
Je crois
Qu'elle est de Prevert et de Kosma

Et chaque fois les feuilles mortes
Te rappellent a mon souvenir
Jour apres jour
Les amour mortes
N'en finissent pas de mourir

Avec d'autres bien sur je m'abandonne
Mais leur chanson est monotone
Et peu a peu je m'indiffere
A cela il n'est rien a faire

Car chaque fois les fueilles mortes
Te rapellent a mon souvenir
Jour apres jour
Les amour mortes
N'en finissent pas de mourir

Peut-on jamais savoir par ou commence
Et quand finit l'indifference
Passe l'automne vienne
L'hiver
Et que la chanson de
Prevert

Cette chanson Les Feuile Mortes
S'efface de mon souvenir
Et ce jour-la
Mes amours mortes
En auront fin de mourir
