Bio
At present, the seemingly endless line of modern rock bands in the industry is overwhelming. While this may be nothing new to record executives, from a listener's point of view, its difficult -- if not impossible -- to distiguish one band from another.
With a sound that can only be described as fresh and innovative, Til December has discovered a way to seemlessly marry a blend of ninties alternative rock and metal with their classic and modern rock influences. Adopting the traditions of bands such as Alice in Chains, Filter and Staind, they manage to make the transition from agressive songs filled with heavy metal riffs and powerful vocals to those featuring acoustic guitar and rich melodies -- all while retaining a sound that is unmistakably theirs to their devoted fans.
Former ly known as Backstreet Law; vocalist Matt “Goody” ; Goodreau, guitarist Jeremy Edge and bassist Jamie Morral have tirelessly performed about 200 shows a year since 1996 up and down the east coast in the hopes of making a name for themselves. Despite touring with national acts such as Disturbed, Sevendust, Hoobastank and Velvet Revolver; as well as selling over 13,000 copies of their three previous independent releases and amassing a loyal following any band would be proud to boast, they felt like they had reached a plateau and felt the need to rise to the next level. With the addition of drummer Tony Esposito, they felt like they had finally gotten the break they needed to push forward. Esposito, a long-time friend of the band, had previously toured with other acts the band had shared bills with.
New lineup in place, the members of Til December felt they had the resources and sound to carry forward. After touring for nearly six months together, Goodreau, Morral, Edge and Esposito began to write and record 13 new songs in Morral's home recording studio. 5 Songs have been selected for the ep and are being mixed by legendary engineer/producer Jay Ruston(The Donnas,Army of Freshmen,Jars Of Clay)and is scheduled for release this summer.. Satisfied with the fans reactions to the select few songs they have debuted at shows over the past few months, Til December is confident their fresh material will satisfy existing supporters while drawing in new ones.
With the debut of tildecember.com, the band just recently geared up for appearances on the Jagermeister Music tour with Staind and Three Days Grace in NYC and New Hampshire. They plan on opening for more national acts to come this year with a full calendar in hand.
