Possessing a bittersweet passion known to bring listeners to tears, Timberwood is metal guitarist, Greg Lanza and classically trained singer and pianist, Heather Lanza. Heather and Greg met as music teachers in Virginia, married in 2009 and moved to Florida in 2012. Two years later, they were asked to put together a small set to perform together at City Coffee Company in Saint Augustine. What happened was the creation of over three hours of soulful, soaring music, a combination of cover songs and originals.
Greg's thirty year journey with the guitar has taken him through metal, the blues, classical and rock music. Heather's opera and piano education led her to realize her true love of Americana and rock & roll. Together, they collaborate to build a vibrant acoustic sound, a blend of Greg's fluid and seemingly effortless guitar with Heather's striking vocals and driving rhythm guitar.
Timberwood continues to write songs, record, and perform at public and private events in Florida and Georgia.
Timberwood is based in Saint Augustine, Florida.
