time&time

Built from the ground up out of necessity and the realization that music has to be in their lives, time&time consists of 4 guys who are dedicated to pouring every bit of themselves and all the heart they have into instrumental blocks of music. Music that leaves you no choice but to dissolve into it.
For a period of 10 years these four individuals played in and around each others bands. Their own personal taste and playing style constantly evolving until the course of time put them into one place.
In this place they each found a blank canvas, and in the spring of 2010 they started to put together ideas. In late summer they decided to schedule a show despite the fact that they still had nothing in a solid song form.
The pressure of this show, and the urge to share this new found musical freedom with friends and loved ones gave birth to an idea. They decided to perform the ideas as is... taking short incomplete musical thoughts and sewing them together, they hoped to give a glimpse of the evolution of music from concept to completion. It was a start, and from this start they found something unexpected. They realized that they no longer had tiny pieces of music tied to each other. They found a full piece of music, with complete thoughts and a common thread that ran from start to finish.
The foundation had been set. Using this idea, they pushed themselves to build an entirely new block of music every month throughout late summer, fall, and winter of 2010. Each piece of music a step away from the last and each piece carrying the tonal qualities of the season and place in which each of these players found themselves in their lives.

The minutes and hours between the start of this musical project and now have changed each of these individuals, and changed this group. The purging nature and emotional weight of the music is visible when watching them perform, and tangible when listening from the crowd. time&time is instrumental music. time&time is a story told without words.
