T.I.M.E. --- aka Tariq Abubaker was born in Jerusalem on March 3, 1979. T.I.M.E. Was brought to the United States at three years old by his mother. He grew up in Los Angeles California and struggled to pursue the dream God the father gave him as a little child. Time was born a Muslim and battled the controversy of 2000 years of religion and Islam. T.I.M.E. lived in southern California for the majority of his child hood. He saw his mother and father struggle to raise him and his two sisters, moving from home to home and city to city. He endured the hardship of his father being addicted to a big street drug that almost through the family in ruins when they found themselves living from hotel to hotel. T.I.M.E. recalls picking up a pen one night at the age of 16 and writing his first rap song. It flowed so smoothly, I let local friends hear it and they all loved it. After attended a BLACK EYED PEAS CONCERT AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CAL STATE UNIVERSITY IN NORTHRIDGE, T.I.M.E. SAID HE WAS BLOWN AWAY WHEN ONE OF THE ARTISTs SAID THEY WERE GOING TO PICK OUT A RAP STAR FROM THE CROWD AND PICKED HIM. I WAS BLOWN AWAY, I BEGAN STUDYING SONG STRUCTURE AND PERSUING WRITING MORE SERIOUSLY. T.I.M.E GRADUATED FROM GRANADA HILLS HIGH SCHOOL in 1997, Denver broncos quarter back John Elway also graduated from the school. After numerous declines from Unversity after University, T.I.M.E. met a lady buy the name of Pat Seals who opened a door for him to attend a historical black College named Praire View A&M University in Texas. She was a huge inspiration and blessing in my life. T.I.M.E. SPENT THE NEXT TWO YEARS ATTENDING THE UNIVERSITY. OUT OF STATE TUITION BECAME A HUGE PROBLEM PAYING FOR AND T.I.M.E. WAS FORCED TO HAVE TO WORK IN THE KITCHEN ON THE CAMPUS SERVING AND WASHING DISHES. It was to expensive to stay on campus and tuition was to high for the young artist to support himself. T.I.M.E. contacted his father in California and told him about the strugle he was having to face and asked for assistance. His father recommended a close relative who lived in Arlington Texas that T.I.M.E. COULD GO STAY WITH UNTIL HE GOT ON HIS FEET ABLE TO RETURN TO SCHOOL. HIS STRICT MUSLIM COUSIN TOOK HIM IN AND FORCED STRICT RULES AND TOUGH RELIGION BELIEFS ON T.I.M.E. WHO ALREADY CONVERTED TO CHRISTIANITY. T.I.M.E. RECALLS PRAYING TO JESUS IN A MOSQUE WITH HUNDREDS OF MUSLIMS. HE SAID IT WAS LIKE SOMETHING OUT OF A MOVIE, IF MY COUSIN WOULD OF TO EVER FIND OUT. WHAT WOULD HE DO WHAT WOULD HE SAY. HE WAS TO AFRAID OF THE CONSEQUENCES AND LEFT TO WORK IN THE PRODUCE SECTION OF WHOLE FOODS MARKET WHERE HE MET GOSPEL LEGEND KIRK FRANKLIN WHO WAS ALSO A POWERFUL INSPIRATION TO THE YOUNG ARTIST.

At twenty one years old I gave MY life to Jesus Christ and to the sole purpose of spreading the gospel throughout the world. I WANT TO SHARE WHAT THE LORD DID FOR THIS PEASANT BORN IN PALESTINE RAISED A MUSLIM AND GAVE HIS LIFE TO THE LORD. He released his first gospel hip-hop album titled 'Purity' March 3, 2008. His hit single 'Saved By Jesus' is one impression of the true God given talent that accompanies this true and powerful prophet. All praises and glory to the savior Jesus Christ. We all have an opportunity to turn our life over to the king of kings and experience the true love of a father who loves all his children.
