Biography

Crawling from the swamps of Florida, Tim Hazen is a refreshing voice in the Chicago Music Scene. After six years in Gainesville, Tim is preparing the Chicago cafe scene for his live shows that are laden with pure emotion and energy; leaving you amazed how a singer-songwriter can have such a full sound. Already Tim has participated in the famous Uncommon Ground and had the honor of winning a slot towards their Finals held in January 2008.

Tim's 2006 debut release, "Fortress," is an example of passionate and captivating vocals, combining elements of pop, folk, and rock into nine songs which will make the foot tap or the soul saunter.

After the CD release, Tim underwent his first National Tour through 2006-2007, taking him throughout the East Coast and Midwest. His infectious melodies, strong harmonizing vocal looping and self-proclaimed "stomp-a-rine" are only some of the highlights of his concerts.

Tim is currently writing new material and seeking like-minded musicians in Chicago.

Lyrics

The Right Time

Written By: Tim Hazen

Whatcha mean
That there’s just no hope for
I think you read between the lines.
And if it’s good for you
Well then it must be something
A little something for your mind.

Serenade oh you must be singing
All these chances can’t be real.
And baby can’t you see
That it’s time we state it
And it’s time I make it clear

That if you feel fine, it’s the right time
And you know I’m always saying
Don’t you know the good life is a landmine
So you better watch your steps or you will find
Ohhh baby the right time.

There you go and you play the victim
When there hasn’t been a crime
And baby can’t you see
How you drive me crazy
The way you read into my mind

And if you feel fine, it’s the right time
And you know I’m always saying
Don’t you know the good life, is a landmine
And you better watch your steps or you will find
Oh baby the right time

If you could see what we would be
The shining stars of harmony
Well then I’d think you say to me
And then I’d think you say…..

Madison

Written By: Tim Hazen

She wears her flip-flops
To the sock hop
She dances barefoot baby, you know what I mean.

She’s got the sweet limes
And makes the sun shine
With her pink leg warmers, you know I mean.

Her golden locks sparkle diamonds
In the streetlight.
Her tongue and lips taste like cherry-blossom delight.

Madison, Madison, Madison
For me there’s only you.

She’s got an 8-Track
And a huge stack
Of vinyls baby, yeah you know I mean.

She goes to thrift shops
To buy the cool tops
She’s going vintage baby, yeah you know what I mean.

Her golden locks sparkle diamonds
In the streetlight.
Her tongue and lips taste like cherry-blossom delight.

Madison, Madison, Madison

Beautiful, that is what you know
We’re holding hands and skipping stones.
Down on Mulberry Lane
We never felt the same,
Girl will be with me tonight, tonight.
