Bio

30 year-old Vancouver native Tim Lindberg's soulful and gravelly voice permeates with the emotions and wisdom of someone well beyond his years. A gifted lyrical storyteller, Tim's music paints an earnest picture that universally resonates with people. His lyrics are strewn with images of hope, love, loss, and abandonment, and yet, despite the personal nature of his music, he invites his listeners to go with him on the intimate journey. This rare combination of honesty and raw emotion makes him one of the most captivating artists to arise from British Columbia in years.

The year was 1993: a Berkeley band called The Counting Crows had released their debut album, August and Everything After. It was this epic album that ignited Tim's love and passion for music. With his newfound inspiration, Tim followed in the footsteps of many musical predecessors before him and pursued a life filled with song. The result: the mainstay indie band, Doubting Paris.
Tim's six year stint as the lead singer of Doubting Paris helped bring the band global exposure and critical acclaim. They have graced audiences all across Canada, the United States, and Denmark with their soul-baring, raw sound. After making two albums, garnering playtime on hit TV shows like "The Real World", "Joan of Arcadia", and "America's Next Top Model", and snagging opening gigs for David Usher and Keane, the Doubting Paris bandmates decided it was time to pursue their individual dreams.

With a journal full of songs and the support of friends and family, Tim set out to create an album based on an essentially personal epithet, Love Songs for the Weary Traveller. Tim says, "The title of the album is where it all started. I wrote each song stemming from the title; it is my reality. A transient lifestyle for a family man can beat you down. Writing this album allowed me to stay close to my family while being miles apart."
For his first solo project, Tim enlisted the help of longtime producer and friend, Daniel Mendez (Dashboard Confessional, Heart) and the musical talents of his former bandmates and friends. The guys spent weeks recording at a studio in Abbotsford, British Columbia subsisting off a diet of coffee and inspiration. The result is a triumphant album that exemplifies Tim Lindberg at his best: beautiful, heart-wrenching vocals woven with simple melodies that pierce through the heart.
