After a long hiatus, Timmy Two Step and his guitar are back again to yell about stuff they love and hate. Tim Phillippe (Timmy Two Step) started his career in Fort Worth, TX at the legendary Ridglea Theater and played many more shows in the years to follow, under the name Tim Phillippe & Friends. He made some headway in the scene as a pop-punk singer and songwriter and enjoyed minor success with his song, New Day. After 5 years in the Dallas/Fort Worth music scene, Tim made the move to Austin, TX.
After moving to Austin in 2010, Tim recorded and released the “All Just Words EP”, his 6th EP at the time. Eventually, he decided to take a break to attend music business school. In 2012, while in school, he recorded and released his 7th EP, To The Pharisee, which allowed him to “vent all of [his] frustration surrounding the election”. A few years later, on November 17, 2015 (the ten year anniversary of his first show), Tim then released the “Stay Tuned EP”, a 3 song EP, which contains the first recording of New Day in 8 years. After that release, the planning began for his first full-length.
In December 2016, post Presidential election, Tim decided to scrap the original ideas for his first full-length album (which was going to be called “Live From Planet Express”) and began writing and rewriting furiously. Thus, the concept for his first full-length record, “One More Before The World Ends” was born. The record was recorded in under a month and then released on February 15, 2017. Now, with the fire of a angry, former emo kid and the immense frustration of a former Baptist, Timmy Two Step is back and ready to sing and play for any and all that will hear his words. “One More Before The World Ends” is available for streaming and download at timmytwostep.bandcamp.com.
