Timothy Owen

Born in raised in Chico, CA at the zenith of that fabled towns music scene, Timothy Owen has been telling sun-dappled California stories with guitar in hand his entire life. First performing at 13, sharing stages with the likes of The Mother Hips and Spark and Cinder, his musical career has followed his adventures and he has performed on stages from Oakland to places like Amman, Sarajevo, Manila and countless more. A life wandering the globe has supplied him with an endless well of stories from which to craft incredibly varied musical tales. He has written Americana tunes while trekking through Ethiopia and middle-eastern Anthems while roaming the deltas of the deep south. All this wandering gives Timothy's music an incredible hybridization. Pedal steel on gypsy dirges, spoken word on pop songs, classical strings everywhere, his music takes the best of the eclectic stories he has encounters and combines them into something utterly coherent. Surrounding him, whether he is playing live, or recording the next album, are some of the very best musicians in the world.
