"Evoking Social Change Into Mainstream Hip Hop"

It’s always refreshing to discover artists who are passionate about not only spreading high-quality music, but also a message that connects people from all walks of life. LA-based MC Timothy Rhyme does just that. He’s on the rise to bring social changes that have always been prevalent in underground hip hop, to a platform that reaches a wider audience into mainstream music. He encourages humility, compassion and vulnerability, highlighting that no matter what reality we live in, everyone has the ability to overcome personal struggles. And what better way is there to overcome these realities than a dope baseline and some hard-hitting honest lyrics? - Stimulate Your Soul (Australia)

"Timothy Rhyme Bringing Life Back Into Hip Hop"

Timothy Ryhme is not your typical hip-hop artist. In his music, he speaks the truth about everyday life experiences and how it’s not all about the money and fame.

Timothy began his rapping career in the big capital, also known as, Sacramento. This new unique and humble emcee started performing in local venues, which lead him to be voted the Underground Music Awards, West Coast Artist of the Year in 2012. He decided to venture out of the Bay Area and take his talent to new heights, which landed him in Los Angeles. He has created a good fan base, but not just with his talents. Timothy has a passion to help others achieve their goals in life. That is why he created a team called First Dirt. Well, your probably wondering, What his team is about and Why he became a rapper? - Mariah Darsha Blog

"Video Review"

I love finding new talent, especially one with an already-potent flow and so much potential for the future. Allow me to introduce you to Timothy Rhyme, who has 30 bars in his chamber, ready for you to hit play on above. I’ll let the optics do the talking, but expect much more from the young artist. - Boi-1da

"Dirty Thirty"

True to form, Timothy Rhyme shows off his word play on his new single “Dirty Thirty.” Utilizing experiences as a new resident of Los Angeles, while reflecting on grinding it out in his hometown Sacramento, CA, Timothy Rhyme pens thirty bars for whom it may concern. Timothy’s raw lyricism may hurt some feelings, but it also provides a window into the honestly he’s able to capture with his music. Teaming up with Boston-based producer Phil The Pain, the chemistry is evident. Having just worked on a new track with Termanology, Phil The Pain’s beats tend to only be dealt with by lyrical heavyweights.

Being new to the city, Timothy Rhyme decided to shoot the video Downtown Los Angeles in the heart of the arts district. The SoCal Impalas N Caprices Car Club rolled out 30 deep to welcome Timothy Rhyme to the area and show off for the camera. Shot and directed by Tim Gadient. - AllHipHop

Bio

Savvy, sharp-witted, relentless, positive, inspiring; not the typical description of a Hip Hop artist.  Timothy Rhyme is an alternative hip hop recording artist originating from the capital city of California; Sacramento, but currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.  Matching street smarts with book smarts, Timothy Rhyme has devoted himself to making aname for himself in the over saturated hip hop circuit.

Voted the Underground Music Award’s (UMA) West Coast Artist of The Year in 2012, Timothy Rhyme has performed alongside Kendrick Lamaar, Macklemore, Tech N9ne, Heiroglyphics, Dom Kennedy, Blu, The Grouch, Murs, Immortal Technique, Brother Ali and many more, and has been on several tours; regional and nationwide.  He earned a coveted spot on the 2013 Paid Dues lineup with his team, First Dirt, sharing the bill with Talib Kweli, De La Soul, Killer Mike, and dozens of other artists that reign supreme in the industry.

Timothy Rhyme has become a voice for those struggling to turn agony into achievement.  Born into a blue collar, Mexican-American family of migrant farm workers, he was dealt a childhood unparalleled to most.  At a young age he was forced to face the consequences of having a schizophrenic mother in an environment where addiction, incarceration, and depression loomed.  Throughout it all, Timothy Rhyme’s daughter has been his sidekick, giving him the hope and sanity needed to keep him on his path.

Timothy Rhyme has the uncanny ability to draw people in.  His music is relatable and catchy but in a way that is unforced and honest.  His view of the world is reflected in the integrity and wisdom found in his music.  His positive demeanor and willingness to share his experiences with youth facing similar hardships makes him an artist comparable to few.  Timothy Rhyme isn’t just an admirable artist; he’s an admirable human being.  A diamond in the rough, he’s been buffing up his game.  Now is his time to shine.
