Tim Owens is an established solo artist, songwriter & producer also known as “TiO”. He toured with MCA recording artist, K-Ci & JoJo (formerly of Jodeci) from 1997 through 2003. While working with the platinum selling duo, TiO wrote & produced several songs for them including the single, "This Very Moment" from their latest CD, "Emotional". This song was also featured in the film, "Deliver Us From Eva" starring Gabrielle Union and LL Cool J. His voice and compositions can also be heard in the Preston Whitmore films, “Crossover” & “Doing Hard Time”.

TiO is also known as "TKO" of the unrivaled L.A. based performance band, The Polyester Players. TiO has spent the last 4 years touring all over Europe, Asia, South Africa, India and the South Pacific with the Al McKay Allstar's "Earth, Wind & Fire Experience" as lead vocalists. Currently, he is working on his highly-anticipated solo project from which the title track “Real Life” is featured on the “In The Groove” compilation CD from the U.K based label, SoulVibe Recordings. This is TiO’s first solo release since his 1992 debut on Atlantic Records, "I Just Wanna Love You".

Owning his gospel roots, TiO embraces the connection to spirit and the power to communicate a message through song. He is a graduate of the Arts Magnet High School of the Performing Arts in Dallas, TX and the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. TiO feels he has so much to share with the world.

"I feel that music should inspire, heal, enlighten and feed the soul. When musicians are serious about their gifts, we can harness the power to affect change in the world. Therefore, I intend to continue writing, performing, recording, teaching, learning and following my spiritual path of music wherever it may lead, because music is not just something I do, it is who I am."
