Timi Roberts

BandFolkAcoustic

Combining Jack Johnson's guitar with Bright Eyes Conor Oburst's voice, and adding a little bit of fun to the mix.

Biography

Growing up in a nine person family, Timi never had one genre being played around him. His father liked the classic such as Led Zepplin and AC/DC. His mother listened to Airsupply and Meatloaf, while is brothers and sisters listened to R&B and rap. Timi fully enjoyed listening to each and everyone of them, and hearing how enthused each person was talking about their favorite band or group.

When Timi was 11, he took his mother's guitar and decided to take the music that he heard in his head and turn it into an actually musical piece. He combined the beats and the flow of his siblings R&B music with the poppy catch lines of Meatloaf, while holding true to the chord progressions and the sounds of the classics.

He slowly morphed the sound into a more mellow, more direct vocal approach. What resulted was a mix of every influence he had, with his own soul and emotions pouring into every word.
