Bio

Celebrated as one of Vancouver's hottest young musicians, Tim Sars' sound speaks for itself. Writing many of his own songs, his lyrics rise above the mundane and transport the listener to a magical place. While his big bad horn will keep you stomping your feet.

Tim plays a mix of jazz, funk and latin, although he has been known to touch on more eclectic genres, like klezmer and even country. His huge stage presence combined with his advanced musical skill allow him to draw in audiences and leave them inspired and exited.

Tim is very active in Vancouver, playing with many group around town, such as:

PIM (funk/jazz)
The Sweetpea Swing Band
Astrid (electro/bossa)
The Carnival Band (community street band)
Pink Flamingo Burlesque Troupe

Jonathon Brown-101.9fm CITR:
"Tim Sars brings the horns - a solo baritone sax master with a solo career and a decorated history..."

Tony Montague-Georgia Straight
"Tim Sars Trio, playing a lively mix of jazz and psychedelic cabaret takes you away..."
