"Album Review"

In an industry with a lopsided emphasis of style before content, "Never Be Alone" is a refreshing listen, an honest approach, and an organic accomplishment of integrity. - Adam Muller

Bio

Sparked by his passion for music, Tim put out his "Forever Mine EP" in the summer of 2006 at just 19 years old. After finishing the EP, he started playing shows in Kansas City, making connections, and writing more music. He soon decided to take what he had learned and expand on it: he wanted to create a full-length album. And thus, production of "Never Be Alone" began in the fall of 2006 in a small studio in Lenexa, Kansas, where John Mayer and Ben Folds had once played years before.

Taking the bulk of the production upon himself, he gathered his musician friends to share in the process. “Everybody involved in the album was my friend. It was just us playing music, and I think that it really comes out in the CD.” Tim reworked three songs from the EP and included eight new ones. He and co-producer, Don Miller, spent long days and late nights refining each song until the last touches were made in the spring of 2007.

Tim Schurrer likes to hang out, drink bottled root beer, and put needles to vinyl. Encountering him is to laugh about life, to share in its wonder, and to marvel at its surprises. In an industry with a lopsided emphasis of style before content, "Never Be Alone" is a refreshing listen, an honest approach, and an organic accomplishment of integrity. (07/2007)

Tim now lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
