"Tim Tibbitts Press sheet"

Globe and Mail/Acoustic Guitar Magazine, Gregory R. McGuire:

"Tim Tibbitts - Portraits is a dynamite collection of tunes that might best be classified as power-pop, with strong elements of Americana. Tibbitts demonstrates some stellar guitar work, with a power vibe somewhat reminiscent of the 70s. Extremely well recorded, and the artist shows a strong feel for heartfelt songwriting. This is a very impressive disc, and I look forward to hearing more from Tibbitts in the future."

Download.com:
Ontario's Tim Tibbitts plays a John Mayer brand of drama pop, using earnest vocals to catapult hooky, guitar-based tunes. But what stands out is the wise use of jazzy flourishes such as agile acoustic guitar riffs and piano runs, which give his songs an added layer of body and soul.

Phoenix Revolution.com Kristyn Cunningham:
His voice was beautiful enough to make me ache…Tim was honestly the only artist that night whose set I saw in its entirety, and the only one I honestly WANTED to see. And he was fabulous. No. Phenomenal. His voice reverberated through the Elmo like an angel's choir. He made people stop and stare.

Streetblast.com:
Just listening to the lyrics of “You got me” a few times, and I found myself some how singing along, really getting in to the song. It is a song that I feel any one that has really cared about anyone, and been *&^%$ over can feel! But, It’s not some whiney ass song about being dumped… it’s an upbeat positive song that offers encouragement and a positive message. Tim Tibbitts is an artist that I would recommend to anyone who loves acoustic guitar, great vocals, and amazing lyrics!

Soundclick.com-Ray Varela:
Tell Me and Time Has Come are both strong tracks but my favorite of the two is the latter....
To sum it up, you should do really well with the CD, your music is well written and you do have a powerful vocal style. I can't critique anything to much, especially when it's near perfection in all aspects of songwriting and production! Great lyrics too...........

101 FM Logan City Australia Terry Neal:
Tim Tibbitts new album Portraits is a collection of a variety of folk/pop songs that range from the beautifully worded ballad "Tonight' to the harder edged "Turning Around". The album is well produced and with a range of styles that keeps it interesting and entertaining. You can't always tell where Tim is going to take a song!! An album that gets better with each listen as you discover more of the complex arrangements that go to make up some of the songs.

96.5 Inner FM Melbourne Australia Barry Wass:
Tim Tibbitts Portraits sounds almost autobiographical in its contents. His voice seems to echo disappointments of dreams gone sour. Plaintive pleadings coupled with bright periods make this an unusual but thoroughly enjoyable cd.

Lonestar Radio Japan Tom Kawai:
Some Jazzy, Some Country, Some Folky, but rock the cradle and power storm flows from his brain. It seems he is not only a singer/writer but actor of his own poetry. Very promising.

Nambucca Valley Radio. 105.9fm Australia David McCrory:
This CD is refreshing, with a good beat, a better voice and is really great for breakfast.

Soundclick.com reviews “Tell Me”-Steve Smith:
Let me preface my remarks by saying this song is too good for me to review.
This is among the best-crafted commercial music you'll hear anywhere. I could string superlatives together and grasp for hyperbole, but instead I'll say one thing only: Where can I buy the Tim Tibbitts CD?

Radio Heerde Netherlands-Jan Nederveen:
Tim Tibbitts is not the average mainstream singer. He has a vital, soulful voice and you had to listen to the songs to the end. When he sings, he is in your room.

Soundclick.com Steve Gilmore reviews Tell Me:
First time I heard this guy was July 2005 when I reviewed (and was floored by) his You Got Me track. As well produced as excellently performed You Got Me got me - and within seconds too. It still sits on
my hard drive, accompanied by Time Has Come which just goes to show what a high opinion I have of this guys work. Time Has Come in particular holds me in it's thrall; with it's big-sky mix and Jesse Colin Young-ish vocal lines, it's turned into one of my favourite tracks over the past few months and it's place in my heart is assured forever. Not bad for a guy who has (pretty much) just appeared on the scene. Don't let that newbie gaze fool you though, from note one it's obvious that Tim knows exactly what he's doing; a true professional with the production goods to match.
The thing about ANY of the tracks I have just mentioned, the thing that will nail you to the wall is the sheer, overpowering sound this guy generates and - here's the science bit - he does it in the Acoustic Rock genre. How wild is that? Actually, if you know anything about this genre (especially the North America singer/songwriter branch) you'll recognize all of our Tim's Tricks. What I absolutely guarantee you won't re - Tim Tibbitts Music
