Biography

Dear Friends, your attention, if’n you please:

I bring to you -- from the burnt brown plains of Bastard County, Kansas, where you can’t drink the water, but the whiskey flows like wine -- Tinhorn Molly, pastoral purveyors of fine alternative Americana, with songs plucked raw from the fields of the American midwest. Tuned to a train whistle and played in the key of a hound, these are songs of highway and home, sorrow and joy. Songs to love, laugh, cry and kill to, all in the rusted scrap iron sound of a four piece junkyard orchestra.

So here’s hoping you’ll take a bit of a shine to our tattered brand of tune.

Thank you kindly.

Lyrics

Damn.

Written By: Derek Jones & Dane Talley

I told My Stories, She told me hers.
Found that I couldn't buy a single word
she told lies
I could see it in her eyes

But By that time, I was good as got
Them bells is good as rung, that ring's as good as bought
I got burned.
I guess I never learn

God Damn my loving eyes for what they see
God Damn those pretty lips for what might pass between

She said she loved me and always would be true.
She aint a real good liar but like a real good fool
I bought it all
and I let myself fall.

Now I'm in Kansas and she's in Ohio
She left me sittin'-- sitting here alone
she grew cold
and then she hit the road

God damn my loving eyes for what they see
god damn those pretty lips for what might pass between

Now it's a God Damn Carousel that I've been on too long
I thought that this time my ride was nearly done
and then
I'm going 'round again

everytime I think I've got my foot back on the ground
I think I'm planted then something comes around
and proves me wrong
and this time she's the one

God Damn my loving eyes for what they see
God damn those pretty lips for what might pass between

God damn my feet for coming when she'd call
God damn my heart, god damn my mind, God damn it all
God damn my loving eyes for what they see
God damn those pretty lips for what might pass between

God Damn my loving eyes for what they see
God damn those pretty lips for what might pass between
