"EP Launch"

After the resounding “ooohh-ohh”s of Montpelier’s final song The Rafters slowing disappear, the room is suddenly abuzz with anticipation. Friends, fans and family flock to the stage for Tinian’s Boy, with parents not afraid to get among the action. From the first note, Adam Stonehouse proves to be the ever-entertaining front man, dancing across the stage in what can only be described as sporadic bursts of pleasure and excitement. Performing songs from their EP and aptly debuting new song Brisbane, the fans of gritty rock give it their all in a well-rehearsed yet endearing set. Shepherd once again takes to the stage along with a small brass section, this time to tackle Tusk by Fleetwood Mac. The party times have clearly begun with the energy onstage becoming explosive as Stonehouse smashes a tambourine before joining Owen Tilbury on a second drum kit that went previously unnoticed. After a brief moment offstage, the boys return admitting they hadn’t actually thought far enough ahead as to plan for an encore but what the hell, they’ll do one anyway. Playing one of the first songs they wrote, Tinian’s Boy finished the night sweaty, shirtless and with their mums dancing in the crowd. - Time Off

-The Sea Orchids (Promotion single) July 2010

-The Animal E.P. 15th of January 2011

Since Tinian’s Boy’s first gig was featured on renowned taste-maker blog NME.com in late 2009, the band has spent the past year playing across Australia and beating the hearts of audiences as they go. Their wild and unpredictable stage show has been known to result in blood-covered guitars and shattered tambourines.

The band’s explosive sound is for fans of thoughtful and powerful indie-rock channelling depth similar to that of The National and Silversun Pickups; with a gritty and honest Nashville-style of songwriting.

Tinian’s Boy started out in late 2009, with Adam Stonehouse on vocals and rhythm guitar, Jeremy Bellis on lead guitar and Ben Keating on bass. As they wrote and developed more complicated musical ideas, they adapted by adding Shannon L Ridley on guitar and Owen Tilbury on drums.

2010 saw the new five-piece set across southeast Qld, building a following through their onstage antics and their enigmatic, haunting brand of rock and roll. Tinian’s Boy followed a steady run of shows by releasing the double A-side release “The Sea Orchids/Burning Castles” in July 2010, with both tracks taken from their upcoming EP "The Animal".

2011 is set to be a big year for the boys, since their début EP ‘The Animal’ was released in January alongside the film clip for ‘The Sea Orchids’ ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJrBctBqwJA ) they have grown expediently and now are known as one of Brisbane's best live acts,

Over the next few months they will release a new single/film clip and tour the east coast in July 2011
