Bio

Tinsaedu (Think Say Do) is the story of a musical experience moving through the rocks uncompromisingly. Ever closer to maturity.

The band's core was formed in Brooklyn, New York, USA, in 2004 out of circumstance. After a long period of soul searching and member shifting, the current lineup was finalized late December 2006.

Deeply rooted in afro beat, funk, reggae and other African musical influences, the band organically combines original songs with unconventional time signatures, penetrating melodies, hypnotic grooves and strong lyrical messages.

The message is broad: Justice. Just treatment of all life's manifestations: animals, plants, the visible and invisible.
Respect and love of/for the Earth. Decapitation of political and economic control: From World Bank to IMF, G8, Wall street and others.
Growth, Peace and Harmony.

These views are expressed in the music.
Relentless as the grooves themselves, words on songs like "Hungry", "More Democracy for the Money", "Samistry (Some History/His story/His tree, High Story)", "No Prezidents, No War", "Bad Mouth", express strong resentment towards colonization, racism and imperialism.
But the message is not limited to these concerns. Other songs, like "Mama's Boy" and "Crazy" respectively address youth violence and a love for nature.

With a fiery, high energy and colorful stage show, the band has played several major venues in New York (Lion's Den, Ace of Clubs, Knitting Factory, Sputnik, Fat Baby, etc), opened for international acts such as "Dub is a weapon" and "Mifune", played several big festivals (CMJ Festival) and curates a monthly night of afro beat @ Ace of Clubs (Think Say Groove!) in NYC.
Tinsaedu has also been featured on several state-wide radio programs (WBAI affiliate stations).

The band is currently working on its debut album to be released by mid-July 2007, and planning a tour of the east coast for late summer 2007.
