Feeling a bit camera shy

After establishing herself as a powerful musical presence in such Bay Area favorites (Bammie and Whammi award winners) Liar and The Eric McFadden Experience, Paula O’Rourke offers us Tiny. Her wonderful solo debut covers a vast range of musical textures. Her well-crafted songs are heartfelt, sincere and accessible. The music is a mosaic of her many influences, ranging from alternative country to R&B to classic Jazz. She has also drawn from her experience touring and/or recording with Pat MacDonald (Timbuk 3), George Clinton (p-funk), Syd Straw, Marlee Macleod, Dave Schools (Widespread Panic) and many members of the Athens Georgia music scene such as Guadalcanal Diary and Love Tractor.
Her debut CD, self titled TINY is bound to enthrall and captivate people of all ages and musical preferences. The new release, Harbinger, Paula brings in the harmonies and violin of Sheila Shat, and the reckless guitar rumblings of Dan Olmsted, produced by Grammy award winning Steve Fontano (Supernatural- Carlos Santana). More pop than country, Harbinger taps into the imagery of Americana with familiar lyrics of painful nights and half-forgotten dreams. This coupled with Paula’s charismatic voice, poignant songwriting and powerful bass playing is bound to make Tiny huge.
