Bio

Tio Gus is a Mexican Jazz Funk band, based in Mexico city, integrated by 7 Musicians, all from Mexico
The project first started around 2007 as a Music workshop playing the likes of Jamiroquai, James Brown and Tower of Power, and has become now, with one self-titled production (all Original repertoire) and a second one coming next December, one of the more important, influential and respected bands in Mexico. Each element in the band has worked on tour and in the studio with every major Artist in the country and are betting now for a project of their own, playing the music they love to play. The project, after playing in almost every festival nationwide, is now searching for new frontiers in music, recently coming back from a tour in France last summer. Alejandro, the lead singer is competing now on semi-finals in the TV Show "The Voice" (Mexico, team Ricky Martin)
