The mission of singing Cape Verde.
Tio Lino - Adelino Baptista Livramento - was born in Boavista island, cradle of “Morna”, in “Joao Galego”, a village known as a major source of players. Grew up listening at home the father's guitar, Victor Hugo, a player by the "Brazilian" way, style shared by many of the traditional musicians in Cape Verde.
For 10 years, leaves the Boavista island to continue the studies on the Sal island, then S. Vicente, and to 20 years part to the Soviet Union. Return to the land in 1993, specializing in energy systems, is currently on the Sal island, where he is physics professor.
On this island, with other music companions, acting on hotels and restaurants, but their voice and his particular way of compose have been awaken the attention of the many who come to listen. Thus begins a new stage for Tio Lino, the follower of a tradition, with feet well based on the floor of Cape Verde and with full freedom of a man of his time. The mission of singing their land in the expansion that the music of Cape Verde has already won.
The 11 songs of "Rua Dreita" show the charisma of this creator of musical images, which sees in the new master Manuel d'Novas reference as a composer and with whom we identify the same time - as a matter of generation - the same applies to other icon of musical creativity Cape Verdean: Orlando Pantera. "Each in their style, we talk about songs that are common." Trials and scenes of a deep Cape Verde and sincere that it is task of translating great composers. The first song, edited by Tio Lino - "No Bem Fala", voice of Lura in M'Bem di Fora - "focuses exactly the genuine experience of those who had and have as mission, Cape Verde sing!
