Tippus

Tippus is an Austin, Tx band that focuses on creating and playing original Reggae influenced music. The music we play consists of mainly Reggae roots with Ska and Alternative Rock twsts. We perform all our original songs as well as many popular covers from artists like Sublime and 311 (to name a few). We like bringing the laid back, mellow, and rock sounds to the listeners.
The band has grown rapidly since its creation in the end of 2011.Our first couple of songs for an album called "Lovin' This" were recorded at Spit Shine Studio. We were given the opportunity to be a part of Austin's Fox My Band Rocks Contest and made it in the top 5 out of about 20 bands in the area! We've had plenty of experience performing for different crowds around Austin (in bars, restaurants/cafes, and contests). Currently we continue to pursue to be a part of other competitions and shows around Texas.
Music is a passion! There is nothing better than the excitement of performing our sweet musical vibes to an audience. Our hope is to share our music to people from all over. With that said, we believe people of all ages can find something to love in our music!
